Osama

Early after bin Laden was reported dead, I read something somewhere that sort of summarized his "Will" and, while I understand that he hated us (Westerners of all kinds) in a prejudicial way, the reported content of his "Will" made me think about the kind of man who would request that his children not get involved in the same battle and apologize to them for not spending enough time with them.

Were we happy when people celebrated the deaths of those close to us? I think not!

I'm grateful for the right to not celebrate the death of any person from any country for any reason.

While I think I understand the need to maintain some secrecy involving his remains, sneakiness makes me uncomfortable. Pictures I have seen of the room in which he was killed do not live up to the standard I expect of the country in which I live. I cannot help but think of the hurt to innocent family members when they see those.

I'm grateful for the right to disagree with the decisions made in the name of what is supposed to be our government.
